Is there any rationale by which it makes sense to develop Galore Creek before Schaft Creek? Or, as you suggest, just keeping mum about SC?
No rational that I can see. Schaft Creek is way more advanced, defined, straight-forward, derisked and profitable.
Against my better judgement I listened to the interview. Yes of course, once again he talks up and about all projects except Schaft Creek. Why would Don drop a line like "Newmont is eager to get going on Galore...". What value does that offer in the conversation? Seems like it was another one of Don's typical public statements directed to a specific listener. So lame. So juvenile. Just serves to insult Ernesto's intelligence, imo.
So then what's the hold up, Don, if Galore is the project that is so attractive to a major? It's been nearly four years since Newmont bought 50% and Teck said they would produce a PFS. What's the hold up??
Yet Teck's leadership says they never rest on their ores. Ha!
