Hi guys, Teck has posted their slides for the CIBC conference. They have not updated any information on SC since Nov.  They signed off on the PEA correct? Pretending like it doesn’t exist.

Every project satellite has moved past ‘scoping’ to pre -feasibility. Why is Teck not communicating progress? Have you asked them?

Don’s comments were interesting, “Newmont can’t wait to get going at Galore.” Yet again not a single word about SC not one.  Have you tried to approach Newmont?

If you’re waiting for Teck we’re in real trouble.

And where is the marketing push at?

Answers:

  1. We can’t supervise what information Teck decides to use in their presentations. Teck co-operated a lot in the completion of the PEA and provided their comments where required and accepted it. They certainly are aware of the PEA but it is a CUU document, not Teck’s. They can call it whatever they want, it’s in their own discretion…..but yes it would be great of them to acknowledge it. We don’t control how they propose to present their own material and they don’t ask us for advice for sure.
  2. Teck can choose to promote whatever project they want…..and if Newmont is saying more about Galore it’s hard for Teck not to as well……you’ve got a 50/50 interest deal with a very large partner. Wouldn’t look too good if Teck was bad-mouthing Galore.
  3. I’m sure Teck has many business issues on its desk…..additional costs of QB2, do they sell the coal and oil assets, or not……
  4. Don’t get us wrong, we’re a bit frustrated by all this as well…..but we’re not going to get anything done by threatening Teck or thinking we can tell them what to do. I’m sure this will play out on it’s own, as frustrating as it may seem from time to time.

Hope this helps
