Just for fun, I ran a quick morgage calculation with the SC capex.

Assuming Teck would fully finance the capex with debt at 5%, they would pay around $500M US in interest until payback is completed.

Therefore, they pay $500M US of interest (which is even deductible), to generate (assuming they own 100%) $500M+US (LOM) of free cash flows year after year...

Not even considering their tax credits, that's a 100%+ project levered IRR when including the interest... seems like a no brainer for me!!!
