I don't remember reading anyone here saying it was safe because of a billionaire majority owner.

However, IMO, it is still considerably safer than an otherwise comparable explorer that has no deep-pocketed backer with huge skin in the game.  

But on the other hand, I have since learned and often said that the absolute best thing about CF is its eternally committed billionaire backer and the absolute worst thing about CF is its eternally committed billionaire backer.
