A few days later I dropped some papers off to the new owners. Everything I had done was laying in a Smithrite container in the back of the yard. Frig sake.

LOL!!  This possible end result was on my mind for a couple of years as I did the same thing to my house. 
And it basically happened.  I did many renos and several coats of fresh paint on every inch inside and out.  Then we drive by the next year and everything has been painted a different color, lol.
