MK, nice write-up!
Please review the numbers!
$2/share would need to be an the absolute low in a takeover agreement.
We need to really understand the "carried to production" clause...our huge ace card. This alone is worth hundreds of millions, considering Teck would save billions from removing this contract for a more friendly deal with another company! These kind of arrangements aren't seen in mining (Elmer confirmed our JV deal and it's rarity). Elmer also confirmed in a Q&A it's worth monetary value but they couldn't give a value during that call. I'm thinking it's worth $250-400 million. We need to use this clause to our advantage....Teck knows this! They either pay up and save billions to remove this condition or another major buys us and Teck pays billions to build the SC mine! They literally between a rock and a hard place ;)
Remember, we traded at $2.75 as a single asset company with a far less advanced SC asset vs today and improved copper pricing environment!
A total buyout should get us over our all time historic value high!
