Message: Teck the smart partner

"In my opinion, CF wants full value and Teck can only provide that 1-2 years before announcing a production decision.  I think this will be timed with Galore, as putting both projects online in the same timeframe would give Teck some nice leverage all accross the board (e.g. contracts, first nations, governments, etc).

I don't think Teck is dragging us, they are simply running on their own calendar."

This is an interesting point MK, one I hadn't considered. Teck could have been slow playing SC as they already had us in their pocket and did the minimum each year under the SCJV so that Galore could "catch up". I suppose they could have indicated as such to Elmer to keep the hook baited and made promises for a payday when Galore had hit the right stage gate in its development. Oh, and if EE capitulated along the way and they could grab SC on the cheap so much the better.

If true, another reason Newmont would seem to be an obvious partner for Teck in SC.
