Don't forget to add Newcrest's phone number to your dialing-for-dollars list.  Newcrest loves the Golden Triangle and is shopping, and has already told Newmont 'thanks but no thanks' to a take over offer.

The Golden Triangle is experiencing a renaissance Copper-Gold rush, just this time at the super-Major level.

Although its the 'dirty-coal divestiture' opportunity that greatly attracted Glencore, they do also see that the future is copper, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Teck-rebuffed Glencore take a run at Newcrest next, or maybe even Newmont but that would be somewhat a merger of equals.

The megalodon sharks are circling.  Can't wait to see what else unfolds.

I sure hope Copper Fox Management is pro-actively chumming the waters.
