If you had a Sell at your TD account and a Buy at your CIBC account, who's going to know or stop you?  It is not illegal as far as I know.   I don't understand how TD had a problem with your separate plans having their own trade orders.   Its a free market and so long as you are not scheming to manipulate I don't understand the problem. 

Someone here may be able to clarify more like our resident legal guy Neofight.
