But "gut-check" time could be coming. Nothing goes up forever in a straight line. We're due for a pullback, IMO. It often happens at at the end of the trading week after huge gains. So if tomorrow is the day it takes a breather and maybe retraces to the low 50s or so, it may be hard for some not to "panic sell" to lock in some gains.
Maybe that proves to be the right move if there's further weakness in the SP next week. Or maybe the SP immediately regains steam and pushes into the 70s and 80s next week. Then selling in the 50s to guarantee some profits looks like a big mistake.
If only we had a crystal ball...
As much as my trading account has ballooned this week, I just want this to be over "SOON" and have some peace of mind after years and years of torment.
