Last month, commodity trader Trafigura estimated that data centers to power AI servers will likely require an additional 1 million metric tons of copper by 2030. (The centers themselves require copper wires, as does the additional transmission needed to power them.)May 7, 2024

On the positive side Spitfire, it added to the copper consumption  :)
