Maybe it's not Teck ...just maybe a major partner is asking for the data with all the ducks in a row....this major will then buy out CUU as part of the deal...not costing Teck more then they've already spent...I'm just looking at it from another angle.
Agreed. And maybe that partner is Newmont...who just now got cashed up. Maybe this is a part of the puzzle, the proceeds from this deal is what Newmont wanted to use...
I keep thinking how Teck started the baseline environmental monitoring in January 2023 that needs to run for 2 years as part of the environmental permitting application. No doubt that was a deliberate decision to start that clock then, which is now coinciding with a lot of other things such the Newmont sale above, the Glencore coal sale, new Teck metals rebrand, BC highway upgrades, etc.
