Good to hear from you Mudguy. Agreed, let's argue points, not attack each other.
I'd probably differ a little bit from what I "think" you mean by "pure speculation" (please expand on this). Do we "know" with "certainty" what Teck will do. No, we do not. There is room for error, or global markets could implode, Teck could be taken out, etc.
To my mind, if the BFS shows the production cost/lb Cu to be around $0.00 or even a little over, this project is very economical (especially at 180k tpd, or more) and I can't fathom why Teck would pass.
However, the proof will be in the pudding ... in the economics of the BFS and what Teck does finally. I'm a lot more bullish on CUU than many other juniors right now, and can imagine a buyout from 2.50 to 4 realistically, depending on the BFS. I'd be disappointed with $2.50, but concede it could be possible if costs ballooned on the BFS (but can't figure why Elmer would be letting the -$0.04 number from BMO in the new presentation unless he is being intentionally deceptive, which I highly doubt).
Not over until the cash is in hand, but I like our odds. GLTA
