Civil contractor (USA) at RTA Kitimat has petitioned the gofc for allowing importation of foreign workers (labourers/carpenters) already.(2 months ago)

There is soooo much work out there so BC projects are really getting hammered for personnel.

RTA engineer Bechtel are begging GC's (Gen Contractors) to bid because no one is interested.

There RFQ's are to ONT/QB companies cause everyone out here is too busy and "chaos is cash" in the construction industry.

They are only working 6x10's whereas other job sites are 14x10's on/4 off, 21x10's/7 off...

remote sites like SC have camps (as does RTA), some good, some bad, some "hot bunking" for thos who know what that is (old submariners term)
