If you pander to any woman because she is of a certain age, then you are denying her the right to make an intelligent argument and a contribution to the discussion. Personally I believe the key to this horrible event lies within the family and with the family's connection to society. Given that, it is crucial that all members of society be able to express their opinion and be taken seriously, not just patronised.
At the same time I believe JayJ was defending himself rather than being an aggressor, and attempting to clarify his position since words were being put in his mouth. I don't think he should come under attack for attempting to understand the motivation for this sort of violent crime. In fact, all members of the family, society, government and the educational system should perhaps put some effort into trying to understand how these things happen and what can be done in future to protect the innocent and vulnerable.
