Unfortunately, complaining won't likely get you very far with your broker. Your sell order is open for the market trading day. Once it closes and a new market opens the next day, they treat it like a new order, and charge a new commission. I know - it sucks - especially when trying to sell thinly traded companies. It's why share liquidity is one aspect of a company that needs to be evaluated when making a purchase decision.
