The mineralization in the area is called stealth gold and as such needs to be found. It doesn't jump out say here I am. I think it was Dale that had said sometimes you need to drill 50 holes to find what you are looking for, however once you pinpoint that location the rest gets a little easier. Without the new geological model they are useing, one can see why the area is still under explored. Drilling is expensive. The fact that they have some intercepts offers encouragement that bigger veins might be nearby. The other thing we all need to remember England dumped almost all their gold and helped push the price all the way down into the 200's so you don't need nearly as much of the stuff as you did a few years ago.
