TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 4, 2010) - Bison Gold Resources Inc. ("Bison Gold" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:BGE - News) is pleased to provide an update on drilling at its 100% owned Central Manitoba gold property, in the Bissett-Rice Lake district of southeast Manitoba.

Drilling was undertaken through the late fall of 2009 on several target areas within the Central Manitoba property. Results from nine drill holes, including CM-09-1 through -8 and CM-09-13, were reported on January 18, 2010. Results from an additional three holes are tabulated below. All widths are uncorrected core widths.

Au
Drill Hole # Core Interval(m) Core Width(m) (g/t) Zone
--------------- -------------------- -------------- ------ ------------
CM-09-9 81.56 - 82.23 0.67 1.8 Hope
CM-09-14 64.61 - 69.01 4.40 1.7 Wentworth
including 67.32 - 68.40 1.08 6.1 Wentworth
CM-09-15 65.28 - 69.62 4.34 6.1 Wentworth
including 68.82 - 69.32 0.50 50.4 Wentworth

Drill holes CM-09-14 and -15 were drilled at -60 degrees and -70 degrees, respectively, from the same setup as hole CM-09-13 (-50 degrees), which returned 10.4gAu/t over 5.49m, including 21.9gAu/t over 2.15m. The mineralized sections in holes CM-09-14 and -15 both comprise a well-mineralized quartz vein with chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, pyrite and visible gold, flanked by a lower grade envelope of sheared cherty tuff/sediment with quartz stringers and chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite. Drill holes CM-09-13, -14 and -15 were the first section in a second tier of holes designed to intersect the Wentworth vein below the shallow holes completed during 2006, 2007 and 2008. It is believed that holes CM-09-13, -14 and -15 have intersected a sub-horizontal or shallow-plunging mineralized shoot, being called the Lucky 13 zone, along a drag fold or orientation change on the Wentworth shear. Additional results along strike to the east and west will be released when they are received.

In October, 2009 Aeroquest Surveys, on contract to the Company, completed an airborne magnetic survey over the Company's Apex Gold Property, a 100% Company owned, 750 hectare group of claims located on the Wekusko Peninsular, approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Snow Lake, central Manitoba. The Apex Gold Property has been intermittently explored since the early 1930's by Cominco, Kerr Addison and Placer Development, among others, and is known to contain a significant, near surface, relatively flat lying body of gold mineralization whose known extents are approximately 150 meters by 70 meters.

The airborne magnetic survey was flown at 20 meter line spacings providing sufficient detail to clearly correlate all known gold mineralization with specific magnetic features. Additional well defined magnetic anomalies, resembling those that correlate with the known gold mineralization, were also outlined on the Apex Gold Property. The Company is currently planning to explore this potential with a ground geophysical, induced polarization survey this spring to be followed by diamond drilling this summer, if warranted.

Bison Gold is also very pleased to announce the appointment of David C. Benson, P.Geo., as Vice-President, Exploration, for the Company. Mr. Benson has over 10 years of varied experience in the mineral exploration sector, with significant background in the areas of Bison Gold's Central Manitoba and Apex properties. Mr Benson will direct the continuing exploration of these key properties, and evaluate additional opportunities for the Company.

"We are very pleased to have Mr. Benson join our management team," stated Lucas Ewart, CEO of Bison Gold. "He will play an important role as we ramp up the pace of exploration on our properties. We are already starting to plan for ground geophysics and drilling on the Apex Gold Property, as well as follow-up drilling under the encouraging intersections we are seeing from the Wentworth vein on the Central Manitoba Property."

The 2009 drill program on the Central Manitoba property was completed under the supervision of William C. Hood, P.Geo., a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. Drill core was sawed, with half sent to SGS Mineral Services in Red Lake, and the other half retained for reference. Most gold analyses were done using 50g fire assay with AA finish. Screen metallics techniques were used on samples with visible gold. SGS maintains a quality control program with standards, blanks and duplicates. Standards and blanks are inserted regularly in the sample stream. W.C. Hood has reviewed the technical portions of this news release.

Andrew M. Chater Ph.D., P.Geo has been providing advice on the Company's recent exploration of the Apex Gold Property and has reviewed technical information in this news release pertaining to the Apex Gold Property.
