EXCLUSIVE: Crystallex will not be affected by any mixed company changes!

VHeadline guest investment commentator Todd MacSween writes: During a 3-way follow up interview today with myself (Todd MacSween), VHeadline's Roy Carson and Venezuelan National Assembly (AN) Standing Parliamentary Economic Development Commission president, Ricardo Gutierrez. many questions were answered with regards to Las Cristinas.

Gutierrez had earlier stated that he met with the Venezuelan Guyana Corporation (CVG), Ministers of Basic Industries & Mines (Mibam) and Environment (MinAmb) on Monday, October 15, and confirmed that conclusive report of that meeting and its recommendations have been sent to President Hugo Chavez Frias.

Highlights of that interview 12-minute are as follows:

The Venezuelan Guyana Corporation (CVG) a.k.a. the Venezuelan Nation owns Las Cristinas and Crystallex, as the contracted operator of the mining project, will therefore not be affected by any mixed company requirements under the new Mining Law.

There are no problems regarding the Environmental permit ... it has simply not been officially announced yet.

The cyanide issue has already been solved and the issue of any viability for copper extraction will be dealt with some considerable time after the mine gets underway.

Now that the President of Venezuela has the final-final report and recommendations in his hands, an official announcement is expected soon (unscheduled it could be any time, but scheduled it would take place as part of a general Presidential 'ribbon cutting' ceremony in southeastern Bolivar State not just for Las Cristinas but for a series of other regional economic developments which form part of a prestige national package).

The "big" event is to be broadcast on 'Alo Presidente' and will be a broad subject regarding Agriculture, Mining and Industrial projects.

Todd MacSween says: "A Special Thank You to Ricardo Gutierrez for sharing the information today during a break in the AN's plenary session on Constitutional Reforms." knowledge and effort in talking about these current events.

VHeadline will publish a transcript of the recorded interview with an English translation during the course of Friday morning (October 19, 2007)
