This downward pressure is nothing more than shorts yesterday and today. Put a 5minute chart on KRY and you'll see over 400m shares sold in the period bracketing 10:30. This was the main thrust of the down move. You'll similar large volume yesterday in the down periods.

Longs would not enter orders that way as they are working against themselves - ie one wants to get the highest price , not the lowest. If one had a large long order, the seller  or the broker would work it by feeding it in small chunks and using different brokerages.
