No_Bear,
You will recall in mid Jan it was published that Sanz was going to be in the Bolivar Region for a two month period to deal with mining issues. So far, we know Sanz has been dealing with corruption issues in the aluminum industry out of Puerto Ordaz, Small Miner land evictions and who know's what else is has been on his agenda. Obviously, these issues are a higher priority than awarding the final permit to KRY, however, I do believe our day is getting nearer. While Sanz is in the Region I'm hoping Chavez and himself can complete an Alo Presidente broadcast at the minesite and lay this one to rest-this may be wishful thinking on my part.
I agree with you that the new Mining Act will have to be released and gazetted before we get the nod to start constructing the mining facilities. There has been no definite release date on the Mining Act, only speculation, so if the permit continues to drag on, the permit delay is probably for this reason. This is a high profile gold project and if I recall correctly KRY is suppose to be the "Operating Contractor" role model for future gold operations in Ven., so I think the Vens want to get it right before they move forward with the Project. By KRY taking on this image I hope Chavez does not alter the MOA conditions that were agreed upon in 2002, however, I will be pleasantly surprised if he does not change the conditions.
Good luck to all Longs.
