Venezuelan government Advocates Good Relations with the World ABN 02/12/2008

Caracas, February 11 ABN.- The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela vowed to enhance bilateral relations on political, economic, social and cultural matters with Spain, Switzerland, Mexico, Japan, Greece, Canada, Poland, Ecuador and China, on a ceremony where the new Ambassadors of these countries ´resented their diplomatic credentials.
“We are committed to working harder every day in order to enhance the bilateral relations, on political, economic, social, cultural matters,” said the Venezuelan president to the nine diplomatic representatives in Caracas, Venezuela. President Chávez also made an appeal to build a new world for the human cause.
Taking the words of Simón Bolívar, The Liberator of Venezuela, the President expressed that the Universe balance should not be based on “either the bayonet’s end, or on the aggression of the big against the small,” and he urged the bigger and most powerful countries to “finally recognize that the smallest and poorest are just like them.”
He stated that Venezuela has an enormous oil and energy reserve which “we want to share, but before we can do that the world has to recognize that it is ours.”
To conclude, Chávez remarked his point of view of a multipolar world and respect for all the political systems and governments of the different countries of the world, so he asks the same respect for his Administration.
