Boss - My main concern with KRY mgt is they are not aggressive. I would love to see them stand up and fight for their rights.

They should be reminding VZ that they have built a lot of social structures and contributed significantly to the area.

They should point out that they paid tax and posted bond a year ago when they were told everything was in compliance and this was the last piece.

They should remind VZ that their failure to come through with the permit they promised in exchange for the money has cost KRY probably $50-$100 million on the financing. This has hurt the company and their ability to continue the social projects.

Basically KRY needs to tell VZ that they cannot do anymore projects until the permit because of the financial burdens Hugo's political problems have caused them.

Power respects power and that is how you deal with people like Chavez...with power. KRY seems afraid they will lose the contract if they rock the boat (and they might) but I suspect this will continue until KRY gets aggressive. If he truly needs the gold and KRY is the best one to get it for him, then they should press this issue.
