Share the spirit of the American giant, confirming their commitment to the preservation of the planet and environmental responsibility, promotes the task of planting trees to reap environmental awareness.


The environment has always deserved careful, especially in recent years when the climate changes and human activities have deteriorated large number of forests on the planet. Aware that the Ministry of People's Power for the Environment (Minamb) launched in 2005 the Mission Tree, which was founded with the objective of creating environmental awareness on forests, the ecological balance and the recovery of degraded areas. Dichson Diaz, Environmental Services Coordinator Hecla, stressed the importance of this activity, as the initial phase of growth of any tree species is from seed.

The day began at the Plaza Bolivar in Upata and was attended by Hugo Nunez, Director of Environment of the state of Bolivar. REAPING CONSERVATION

Within the National Day Collection Seeds will be collected species such as sarrapia (Dipteryx punctata), the jobo (Sponoias Bombin L.), mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla King) and majomo (Lonchocarpus ernestii), among many others, however in the act carried out in the Squares of Upata Bolivar and Santa Rosa were only collected seeds of the last two.

Nunez said that the initiative was successfully developed throughout the state of Bolivar, especially in Caicara del Orinoco, Maripa, Ciudad Bolivar, Puerto Ordaz, Upata, La Paragua and Santa Elena de Uairén.
