Isn't this all pretty much "news" we already knew?

If the permit is not granted before Chavez' powers run out, Sanz could still convince Hugo that the permit is what is best for the People of Venezuela. At that point, if the permit is not signed or issued by Ortega (under suggestion by Chavez), Chavez would just replace her.

Remember, Venezuela is a Socialistic Dictatorship. Chavez is still in charge regardless of "special powers."
