If you want to draw a long bow..

Vale is based in Rio has cash burning a hole in their pockets and is on the prowl for new mines... In this article FCX is mooted but a combined Las Cristinas/ Brisas mine might be big enough to tempt them. Hugo would be very pleased with such an aquisition but I guess Vale would need some assurances before making any move...
