Investors Digest has a suggested approach to evaluate Junior mines. The formula is (total estimate of reserve in ounces x price of gold) x 10%..then divide that by total capitalization.
Now, not being very good at getting good numbers, I did try an exercise where I checked the Crystallex site looking for Total capitalization (total diluted shares), and looked for their estimate of total reserves..I came up with some price in the $5+ dollar range - but am not at all confident this means much, I did one other company and the # I got was less than what the market price is..this might just be a red herring thing..
