guys, just a thought i'd like to share....over the last couple years many folks have posted that hugo might grant the permit and then after production started nationalize LC and take the mine...also that there is a "venezuelan discount" for any compnies doing business in ven.....just to play contrarion, consider the following and if anyone has examples to the contrary please share...
i do acknowledge that there is definately a "pre-permit" discount because nobody's sure what his plans are for gold mining in general...the WORST CASE i can see is that hugo "nationalizes" all gold mining projects (before KRY recieves permit) and forces a majority ownership....that puts kry as a 40% partner in LC (i'd put the share price at $6+/-)
i consider the following to be factual:
1. hugo has primarily been nationalizing companies/industries that were privatized before he took over..LC does NOT fall into that category..
2. when he does nationalize it usually affects the entire industry and falls under the category of "majority ownership"..he's basically giving the company the choice to stay as a minority partner..he also pays the company a reimbursement for the nationalization.
so, considering these items....if the permit is granted "intact" (meaning there are no changes to the MOA before granting) it would be unprecedented for hugo to nationalize LC later and there should be little/no discount associated.....
