I was thinking how strange it was for both KRY & GRZ to receive denials on the same day. Over time both of these companies have received news from the government agencies at separte times, since they are in different stage of the permitting process. In addition, both of the government releases seem to have been done in haste with similar language used in both.

If Sanz knew this was the case, and that both permits would be denied why would he go to this area, and why would he be asked to look at mining by Chavez.

I think most people here can agree that there is something about this situation that does not sit right. From the way Venezuela announced the denials to the haste it was done.

Overall this points to someone acting out of character in the Venezuela government. Could be that pressure was being applied to this department and they decided to deny just to ease the pressure. Thus, another agency or Chavez himself would have to act. Given all the time that elasped with no news and then suddenly two denials makes one wonder.
