One of a numbr of things that makes me inclined to believe that this is still an open issue (and as you say, likely not about the environment) is the Grz PR. They say that "Minamb communicated its plan to rescind the permit". Why would they communicate a "plan" to rescind the permit, as opposed to communicating that they have indeed rescinded the permit? Given that this is from a mid-level director, as opposed to the Head suggests to me that this is open for discussion. Presummably the analogous would be the case for our team.
