Apparently this just came out a little while ago. It certainly appears to confirm the fact that Sanz is a good negotiator. Note the statement that the contract was achieved in record time.
Now let's hope that Sanz is the guy for us, and for all those miners that need some sort of resolution too.

Caracas, 06 May. ABN.- The president of the Republic, Hugo Chávez
Cold, announced that already agreed the collective contract for the
workers of the iron and steel works of the Orinoco (Sidor).
Thus the Head of state indicated it, this Tuesday, in meeting with
leaders of the Unique Union of Workers of the steel Industry and its
Similar (Sutiss)-Sidor, encounter performed in the Palace of
Miraflores and reviewed by The News, of Venezuelan of Television.
The Head of state emphasized that the agreement on the collective
contract of Sidor was achieved in time record.
It emphasized that the National Government aspires to place to Sidor
in function of the project of national development, of the
construction of the economic socialism and the integral development
of the country.
The National Proxy did a recognition to the patience and to the
comprehension of the workers of Sidor and especially to the president
of Sutiss, José Acarigua Rodriguez, who been present in said meeting.
