Hugo and his associates have a very well organised, grass roots, socialist political organisation. I get the feeling that there is a well organised campaign to discredit all multinationals as VZ proceeds towards the nationalisation of just about everything of value. Its just to easy to get a few politically connected workers to protest working conditions in order to justify gov't intervention.

We can only hope that we will be treated fairly in this process. If we are not then I will turn from dovish to hawkish and advocate sending troops. Those Orinoco oilfields look just as tempting as the ones in Iraq and maybe the VZ's need liberating from that quasi dictator Hugo as well.
