We won't know until the short #'s come out in a week and it's good that the #'s will be as of today(15th) so we'll see how much short increase in last 15 days. You're right about instill fear and colluding between multiple hedge funds etc, however the buying had all aspects of real buying that ran it's course. This is a Bull & Bear fight each with 10's of MM's of shares on both sides at risk. We here won't affect pps on a daily basis, but rather with proper DD and attention to fundamentals we're still here because they point to permit. Technicals I don't believe to be that relevant to any stock that has been manipulated as Kry & somewhat Grz have.
