Why are the announcements always after market hours or on weekends?

Oddly, have you noticed that announcements are always aftermarket hours or on weekends. NEVER during trading hours. If the game was really over wouldn't they just announce any time? Seems to me that they want the stock as cheap as possible for what reason? Heh!
