I can assure you I am not a soft basher, I have been long for over 3 years. I am pretty much exasperated with this situation, though, and I don't think applying conventional wisdom will lead us to the correct conclusion. Also, if the west follows their own policies concerning trading with terrorists, they will have to stop trading with Ven due to Chavez' collaboration with FARC. I can't see that happening though.
