For Crystallex International Corporation statements by the Minister of Environment, whereby suspending open pit mining in Venezuela, still the position outlined in a letter from the director general of the administrative office of permits that office, which was sent to CorporaciĆ³n Venezolana de Guayana.
In a communique, Crystallex maintains that the letter and now the statements are in contradiction with the approval of environmental impact study for Las Cristinas, the performance bond request for construction and application of environmental taxes, issued by the Ministry of Environment .
The note adds that officials of the Environment testified before the National Assembly in late 2007, that all requirements for the permit environmental Las Cristinas were met satisfactorily, and that the permit be issued.
