...definitive word on our fate BEFORE the expiration of the 15 business day rebuttal response window (i.e. on or about June 2nd)? I think that it is reasonable to expect an answer from Venezuelan officials prior to the expiration of this date UNLESS there is a problem reaching an agreement. It is clear that Ortega's call was COMPLETELY bogus and cannot be justified by any means. One would think that her lunacy could be overridden before June 2nd to avoid embarrasment (to Venezuela) and unnecessary bad international investment press given the fact that the NA has publicly called for the permit...the local miners have publicly called for the permit....the local Km 88 officials have called for the permit (citing the beneficial social works implemented by KRY) and KRY is on firm legal footing with all environmental studies approved and taxes\bond paid. If we are forced to go beyond June 2nd with no word...and then face the prospect\uncertainty of having to wait an ADDITIONAL 90 days to file more legal paperwork against the Bagel Chomper herself....then I wonder whether Hugo is more involved in this than we would like to think. They say....look at what Hugo does, not what he says. I've been watching what he does (and listening to what he says) of late. He seems to be walking the nationalization talk according to my observations. Thoughts anyone?
