Chavez is power hungry. Who is going to sell him the submarines, guns and warplanes? Certainly not Canada. He is broadening his relationships with Iran, Russia, China and anyone else that is a card-carrying member of the "axis of evil". He may consider Canada to be expendible as a trading partner...or Canada may consider KRY to be expendible in the diplomatic scheme of things. Well before "Black Wednesday" there was an article quoting the head of a party\mining union (I forget which) that stated "Make no mistake....Sanz intends to nationalize\take all of the mines in Bolivar State" or something to that effect. There was also talk that Hugo was behind the "labor uprisings" at the mines (in order to create the pretext for 'take-over'....a ploy that had been used successfully in other sectors of the economy to "take") that just happened to coincide with Sanz review of the mining sector. Well...what a coincidence...along comes "Black Wednesday" and we are now trading at the break-up cost of Crystallex. We are all assuming that "Sanz is on our side". I certainly hope so. I hope...I hope...I hope. That is the shrewd investment strategy that I, personally have employed, to successfully ride this stock down to it's all time low. I keep telling myself...the future looks bright. The market "doesn't get it". Everything is fine. I'm right. The market is wrong. These people down in Venezuela are all fine, upstanding fellows. Nope...nary a word from Sanz yet. Oooops...forgot....he's negotiating "behind the scenes" for us so that idiotic pig Ortega won't be embarrased. Maybe. Maybe not.
