What I'm saying it will make it more difficult for Chavez to screw Crystallex after July 23, 2008 when his "special powers expire". Chavez would need support from the majority of the AN in order to make decisions on the LC property.
Venezuelan Legislature declares emergency to discuss Chávez' Enabling Law
The second vice-president of the National Assembly, Roberto Hernández (Communist Party of Venezuela), said the Venezuelan Legislature as of Tuesday is holding emergency sessions to pass an Enabling Law granting special powers to President Hugo Chávez.
The bill will be delivered during the plenary session on Tuesday. The bill will be submitted for a first discussion January 18th, 2007. January 23rd, the bill will be discussed for a second time and passed, Hernández said.
