Jetfan...you summarize my frustration in a nutshell. I keep asking myself...how is it possible that Minamb approved everything every step of he way...over a period of YEARS... right up to and including the payment of taxes\bond and then the HEAD of Minamb says NO? What is even more unbelievable is the fact that she RESCINDED Gold Reserves permits that were already granted. I know all the theories about bureaucratic infighting.....fear of liability for environmental destruction, etc. The backdrop of sudden labor unrest (i.e. Hecla, etc.) to me is suspicious especially in the context of ongoing nationalization. Who is behind this sudden labor unrest? I'm not saying this won't get worked out (though it may very well may not), but I really wonder if Ortega has some backing from a higher authority.
