They have been paying the world spot price -- BUT they pay it in bolivars at the official exchange rate which is a healthy haircut from the spot dollar value.

RM stated a while back that KRY had applied for a license to export 85% of the mined gold. Hugo can talk all he wants, but he cannot afford to buy all the output from KRY/GRZ.

And Hugo can't afford, and is simply unable, to mine without foreign capital and technology. That or he could get CJR a pick, shovel and mule, and let him at it.

Would be nice to get some clarification THIS MONTH, huh? In Venezuelan that probably means by the end of the summer. LOL
