According to Izarra, the President does not immediately have a clear and obvious candidate for the finance portfolio and is reportedly considering a series of cabinet changes perhaps to be announced this coming weekend.
Lets hope for this case.

again..when I asked RM a while back on why he included a link to the
Brazilian Environ Minister in one of his replies to me and I think
somebody else ...he replied this:
It has been quite common practice in the Chavez Administration (since he took office in 1998) to frequently rotate and shffle his Cabinet. Most seem to be in position for barely a year. Minister Ortega has been the Minister of Environment since January 2007 which by comparison is a long time.
