For what its worth I inquired to the investor relations of the
Canandian company SNC Lavalin who recently (Feb) received a large
contract from the Venezuelan gov't to update their infrastructure .
Wanted to see if VZ is still working with multinationals and continuing
business as usual. By the response everything moving as normal.

SNC Lavalin:
I believe that you are referring to the Tiznados project in Venezuela
that we announced on February 20, 2008. As indicated in the press
release the contract is for US$597 million. The project has started and
is expected to be completed in three years.
