Venezuela and Ecuador strengthen ties in steel sector

Caracas, Aug 8 (PL) Venezuela and Ecuador signed today a joint record for encouraging the development of the steel sector as part of bilateral exchange contend that the two countries.


The document was initialled at the chancellery by the Ministers of Industries and Competitiveness of Ecuador, Xavier Abad, and Basic Industries and Mines of Venezuela, Rodolfo Sanz.



Abad, who led a delegation which visited several places during three days of Venezuelan territory, he stressed that the moves are part of the brotherhood between the two nations.



Our cooperation is expressed in concrete facts with the aim of bringing greater quality of life for citizens, he said.



He noted that the stay in Venezuela allowed the Ecuadorian learn about the development of the steel industry and increasing confidence about the alliance will yield fruit in this area.



For its part, Sanz described as fruitful exchanges of recent days and pointed out that actions undertaken reinforce the commitment to work to advance the integration of peoples.



Ratified the Siderurgica del Orinoco, recently nationalized by the Venezuelan government, restored steel sales to Ecuador.



He announced that both countries also assessed the possibility of starting work for the joint exploitation of gold.
