oldfool - I think he is referring to the fact that retail plays in the morning and institutions control the late afternoon. If instutions are taking this as an indication of something happening such as over the weekend we should see a significant upturn in volume.

I would have expected to see that @3 pm or so but I don't see any real change. Still, doesn't change my opinion.
