I've read everything I could about Hugo's comments last night and have a little different take on them. Kry has been in the news down there as being a transnational that owns LC. We know that isn't true but many people who are against Kry want to paint us with this eveil brush as exploiting VZ and not living up to our social obligations. Hugo speech last night made it clear that thee would be no exploiting of resources by foreigners that don't care about the VZ people. Hugo didn't talk about any company specifically but did mention a world class gold deposit that was used to bolster a companies assets and profile. Some people think he was talking about GRZ, some think he was talking about Hecla because he used past tense when saying they took back the mine. I believe he was talking about the LC gold deposit but not Kry. IMHO opinion he was referring to Placer Dome. Hugo was saying that Placer Dome didn't live up to their obligations, sat on the property and used the reserves to bolster their stock price. Hugo took back LC from Placer for the VZ people and it is now owned 100% by VZ. Hugo wanted to make sure the voters knew he took back this large gold deposit from an evil company and now the VZ people will enjoy the benifits when they put the mine into operation. Hugo wants to take credit for the start of this world class mine that will be built and mined by a company names KRY. Kry will be working for CVG and the people of VZ. It will be hard to oppose the granting of the permit now that he has made it clear that VZ owns the mine and resources. Kry is simply the company they have hired to manage it. I think we will see some major selling by those who don't know the difference between us being the oporater and those who believe we are getting our mine taken away. It will be a great buying opportunity for those who have the balls to step up to the plate. The big thing for me is that HUGO is focused on GOLD now and we will get the permit very soon. Hugo has set the stage for an announcement at LC by himself or Sanz about how this VZ owned property will begin construction. We are back to the idea that KRY will be the example of how mining will take place. This is a majority stake owned by VZ and you can't get any more majority than 100%. Grz on the other hand is screwed!
