Ciudad Bolivar, 25 Sep. ABN .- Several projects for scheduled
maintenance of state trunk lines 16 and 19 as well as for the
asphalting of residential areas in Ciudad Guayana, were approved by the governor Francisco Rangel Gomez and the 11 mayors of the state of Bolivar in a council of state Planning in the Government Palace of Ciudad Bolivar.
Governor Rangel Gomez explained that the projects are part of a group of works required by the communities, which were presented to the state Planning Board last to be held during 2008 in order to decide which would receive priority attention and speed up the allocation public resources for its implementation.
He stressed that these funds come in part from the coffers of state
and government also is expected to be received by way of the
Intergovernmental Fund for Decentralization (Fides) and others at the central level.
"Among the works that will be implemented highlights the investment of 800 billion bolivars for the heavy repair of asphalt roads and trunk 16 (Ciudad Bolivar-La Paragua) and 19 (Ciudad Bolivar-Caicara del Orinoco), as well as 150 billion bolivars for strong asphalting of streets and avenues of Ciudad Guayana, "said the president.
He also reported that resources allocated for the implementation of housing projects, drinking water and schools for the benefit of
communities that had not been favored in previous state councils.
"To ensure compliance with all the commitments made in improving the urban and rural roadways in the state have proposed to the mayors to implement a process for obtaining self asphalt and execution of the works," he said.
He noted that this self should be in line to go beyond the resources that can deliver the national government.
At this point, she stressed that the state of Bolivar have been
opened three floors of asphalt that can provide the raw material for the works to run in each municipality.
They are located in the municipalities Heres, Caroni and Piar, and
soon will open another in Sifontes to supply asphalt to the south of Bolivar.
In the same way, announced that the state Planning Board approved 10 billion bolivars strong to finish construction of 120 new homes in the UD-128, on the west side of Ciudad Guayana.
Similarly, adopted one million 300 thousand bolivars strong for the
provision of schools at the start of school year 2008-2009.
