Workers in the CVG will go to strike next Monday
They demand that their labor demands have not been processed by the new directors of the corporation
In the claim for breach of their employment benefits established in
the collective agreement, workers at the Venezuelan Guayana
Corporation decided to stop their activities next Monday.
The president of the National Single Union of Public Employees of the CVG, Juan Gomez, said the company owed a bonus of 35 billion bolivars strong for the provision of uniforms, as well as evaluating performance, travel time and transportation of more a thousand employees, not counting the retroactive payment for what they have failed to perceive.
"Since we arrived the minister Rodolfo Sanz (Feb. 16) we have not
held the first meeting on the board of directors or even to present.
We are facing a president of the CVG that it resolves all the other
companies, while the corporation is administratively
paralyzed, "Gomez charged.
The protest began after the legal consultancy CVG, Esther Gouthier, said that there were "cash flow", so it was impossible to prosecute some of the demands of the workers.
"Enough of outsiders, bulging with exorbitant payrolls and wages
enough to improvise and business in the CVG," Gomez said after
affirming that in the CVG there are enough experienced workers to
take the reins of the corporation.
