From yesterday: CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Venezuelan authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a student leader who helped organize protests against constitutional amendments proposed by President Hugo Chavez.

You can call it whatever KGB, SS etc. but I think Chavez is loosing control of the situation. There has been plenty of reports of striking and protests out of a country that is restricting the press. If Chavez is replaced, while the capitolist nations are in a economic tailspin, I wonder what kind of Government the Venezuelans will get. I still hope they end up with something along the lines of a European/Canadian and soon to be American type of Socialism and this would work better than what they have now.
