Doh! As I was saying, I see two scenarios:

1. We are on the verge of getting the permit and Sr. Mgt (and key people) want to "fully participate" in the sp explosion. I have no problem with that considering the saga we've all been through.

or

2. Sr. Mgt realizes Hugo is just jerking us along trying to squeeze as much as he can out of the Yankee Gringos before we run out of funds.

It's number 2 that frightens me, and this has been quite a disappointing trip thus far.

The fact is, time is on Chavez's side. He can wait us out. If Sr. Mgt has come to this conclusion, they most certainly could be preparing for themselves a golden parachute. After all, if they know this is a dead duck, why bother stringing it out for 12 months when they can make it 6 months and throw in the towel.

It's not the options that bother me, it's the increase in the DRP proposal that tingles my spidey-sense.
